Sundays are at the heart of our Church Family life here at Christchurch Durham and we would love you to come and join us. At Christchurch, we believe that gathering together, listening to the Word of God together, supporting and praying for one another is one of the most important times of the week.

We gather on Sundays at 10am and at 7pm.

Our 10am congregation is a great place to come if you live in Durham. We are large and diverse church family made up of people from all ages and walks of life. This meeting offers a supervised creche and children’s groups for those aged 2-16, providing a safe environment for our children to learn more about Jesus. Whether you have been a Christian for decades or have never set foot in church before you are very welcome and will likely find someone at a similar stage to you.

During most weeks the children go out for Children’s Church. There is Bible teaching, games, crafts and activities for all ages from 0-16 and it’s all run by trained leaders, fully DBS checked in accordance with our Safeguarding Policy.

Our 7pm church family is where the many students that come to Christchurch gather. There’s dinner beforehand and this is a great way to get to know other Christians in Durham and build friendships that will last a life time.

If you have any questions about our Sunday meetings then please get in touch with the office, we would love to chat with you.
